College Seeks Audit Committee Chair

The RCGP is seeking to appoint an Audit Committee Chair to ensure there is an appropriate framework of scrutiny, accountability, review and control of all matters, financial and otherwise in the College.


The role has specific focus on risk analysis and management, and will ensure that the RCGP is complying with all aspects of the law, relevant accounting and other regulations, and best practice. The Chair will offer expert advice to the Trustee Board, Council and its members on the same.

 

This is a new post and is open to all Council and College members to apply. The first appointment will be for a period of two years to coincide with that of the Trustee Board which is running as a two-year pilot. Normally the appointment would be for a 3 year term, renewable for a further period of 3 years.

 

Interested applicants should submit a brief CV and short statement of no more than 250 words setting out their interest, skills and experience.

Applications will be short-listed by the Nominations Committee for recommendation to the Trustee Board, which will make the appointment.  The name of the successful candidate will be announced at the November Council meeting (21 November).  

 

NB: Please note that in addition to the Chair position the College is also looking to fill five ordinary member places on the Committee, and one Council member place. In your application please state clearly which position you are applying for, and / or whether you would be interested in being considered for any of the other vacancies.
