George Abercrombie award

 
The George Abercrombie Award is made from time to time for special meritorious literary work in general practice. The Awards Committee consults with the two academic editors of the College; the Honorary Editor of the Occasional Papers and the Editor of the College Journal on possible candidates for this prize. Special consideration is given to contributions to the literature of general practice internationally.
 
Award: A silver medal inscribed with the College’s Coat of Arms presented at the AGM 
 
Eligibility: All members with significant contributions to general practice literature 
 
Applications:
 
Nominations should be made in confidence to the Chairman of the Awards Committee. The nomination should include the candidate’s CV, plus at least two letters of support. Nominations to be submitted by 21st March 2008.
