Professor Mayur Lakhani, Chairman of the RCGP, said:
“Providing information to patients is already part of the culture of general practice. We know of GPs and practice nurses who provide evidence based information on a regular basis so we are pleased to see this being extended across the NHS. This is a good project and with support we can bring about a step change in the quality of information provided and embed this in professional practice to support even more patients.”
