The European Definition of General Practice/Family
Medicine
This definition was agreed by WONCA Europe – the European
Society of General Practice /Family Medicine in 2002.
The Council of the RCGP warmly endorsed and supported the
definition in June 2002 and will embrace the principles, the
definition and the associated competencies as appropriate in its
policy development work.
