International Membership
How to become an International Member
after passing MRCGP[Int].
Only doctors who are formally registered as International
Members of the RCGP, have a certificate of membership and maintain
their membership subscription are allowed to use the post-nominal
designation “MRCGP[INT]”.
Apply
Only members who passed the MRCGP Int in one of the approved
assessment centres can apply. To apply for Membership, you
will need to send us an
application form for International Membership with the correct
membership fee for the current subscription year ending 31 March.
You can pay by bank draft or credit card.
Membership is for one year only and needs to
be renewed on an annual basis. We contact Members by letter or
email to notify them of their subscription expiry date and the
new subscription fee in each February.
Once you have been registered as an
International Member, you will receive a certificate of membership,
a plastic membership card and a welcome pack, which will be sent to
you by post to the postal address you indicate on your membership
application form. Please also note that your name on the
certificate will be written exactly how you enter it in the
application form. If you have any other documents where your name
is spelt in English (travel passport, graduation or degree
certificate, etc.) we would recommend that you use the same
spelling of your name for consistency. If at a later stage you
would like to change the spelling of your name on your certificate
and/or card, please contact us.
Registration normally takes 1 or 2
weeks or longer in busy periods, so please allow some time for us
to process your application. Your Certificate of Membership will be
issued within 2 weeks of application processing, however,
please allow for postal delays.
