Applying for Fellowship
Members can put themselves forward
for Fellowship with a nomination and two seconders
If you are a Member who should be recognised by the RCGP
for your contributions to General Practice then
you should apply for Fellowship
You:
- Must be a Member (MRCGP)
- Should be in 5 years 'good standing'
- Should complete 1000 words outlining your key career
achievements to date
- Can use the six suggested achievement categories to structure
your statement
- Identify a nominator to submit your application
The Nominator
- Must be a Member or a Fellow
- May be a practice colleague of the candidate*
- Should be in 5 years 'good standing'
- Should complete up to 500 words summarising your
achievements to date
- Should identify two seconders to support the application but
keep them unknown to you
*If a practice colleague then the two identified seconders
may not be practice colleagues also. I
The Seconders
- Must be a Member or Fellow
- Should be in 5 years 'good standing'
- Should complete up to 400 words supporting the nominator
- Should add value to the application
- Should remain anonymous to you until the process is
complete!
