Nominating a member

 

Members and Fellows can nominate a member with support of two seconders


 

If you know a Member who should be recognised by the RCGP for their contributions to General Practice then you should nomimate them for Fellowship

 

The Nominator

  • Must be a Member or a Fellow
  • May be a practice colleague of the candidate*
  • Should be in 5 years 'good standing'
  • Should complete up to 500 words summarising their nominee’s achievements to date
  • Should identify two seconders to support the application but keep them unknown to the candidate

 

*If a practice colleague then the two identified seconders may not be practice colleagues also.

 

The candidate

  • Must be a Member (MRCGP)
  • Should be in 5 years 'good standing'
  • Should complete 1000 words outlining their key career achievements to date
  • Can use the six suggested achievement categories to structure their statement

 

The Seconders

  • Must be a Member or Fellow
  • Should be in 5 years 'good standing'
  • Should complete up to 400 words supporting the nominator
  • Should add value to the application
