Membership Subscription Fees

The College's membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March with rates set by the Council each year. An invitation to renew is sent to all members in late February/early March each year with the estimated subscription fee. There are a number of rates available to members and you can view the discounts available to you in the Subscription Discounts section. While reduced rates for UK residents are mostly applied on the basis of gross income, there are a number of other discounts on offer which may suit your circumstances.

If you are joining the College for the first time, or are reinstating your membership, please note that the period from the date of joining to the following 31 March is deemed to be the first year of membership. First year's subscription fees are determined according to the quarter-year period during which a doctor joins or re-joins the College, therefore fees are reduced by 25% every 3 months as the year proceeds. For more information, please visit the Current Subscription Fees page.

The College also offers a variety of payment methods and currently provides discounts for payments by Direct Debit, the most convenient and effortless way to renew your membership.

If you find  that you need any help with selecting your subscription rate or payment method or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Membership Support Team.
