New Members are issued with a membership certificate on joining and invited to attend a graduation-style welcome ceremony

 

Membership certificates

RCGP certificates are gifted to Members who join the College by passing the College assessments (MRCGP, iMAP and MRCGP[Int]. Certificates denote membership of the College rather than an exam-pass and are valid while membership remains in good standing.

 

The certificates is offered in an A3 format. Signed by the President and Chairman of the College, the new certificates are an impressive addition to any surgery wall.

 

New Members receive their certificate free of charge and can opt to have it framed at a cost of £34.00.

Replacement certificates

 

Framed CertificateMembers can order a replacement Membership certificate offered in A3 format, which details their date of becoming a Member and remains valid while Membership is in good standing. Replacements can be ordered for £10.00 unframed & tubed or £44.00 framed. The framed certificate comes in a high quality teak frame with dark blue mount to show your certificate off to best effect. Please note certificate framing is only available for mailing within UK.

 

To order a certificate, please send a cheque made payable to ‘Royal College of General Practitioners’ together with details of your RCGP number and name as you would want it to appear (name must match GMC register), to Membership Services Department, Royal College of General Practitioners, 1 Bow Churchyard London EC4M 9DQ. Alternatively, please call us with your card payment details on 020 3188 7766 between 9am and 5pm.

 

Please note that during peak periods it may take up to 3 weeks from receipt of request to receive an unframed certificate. Framed certificates may take up to 5 weeks to reach you and will be delivered by a courier, for which a signature will be required. If you require your replacement certificate urgently, please do let us know.

 

 

Membership ceremonies

New members joining the College are invited to attend a membership ceremony. These are held throughout the year and enable new members, their families and friends, to celebrate the achievement of attaining membership of the College by completing the MRCGP, MRCGP[INT] or iMAP and to be presented with their membership certificate.

 

Eligible new Members will be sent an email inviting bookings. If you do not receive an email and are eligible to attend the event please book online once this becomes available.

Eligibility criteria

Anyone eligible to attend at the point at which the booking process becomes active, will receive an email invitation. Applicants MUST be full Members to book a place. If you have become a Member in the last 12 months (by completing the MRCGP, MRCGP[INT] or iMAP) you are eligible to attend.  It is strongly recommended that no travel or accommodation bookings are made prior to receiving confirmation of a ceremony booking.
