We will hear what is already happening in the South West with the support of local clinical leaders and what may need to happen within your own practice or service.

This workshop will be hosted by keynote speaker, Dr Simon Stockley HEE/RCGP Clinical Champion for Sepsis.

Delegates will

  • Be confident to describe key features of sepsis and a sepsis aware consultation for adults and children
  • Describe strong communication about deteriorating patients with other service providers and explore the benefits and limitations of National Early Warning Scores.
  • Be able to share good practice and system developments within the North West
  • To understand the challenges for General Practice in being part of a sepsis aware system within Primary Care
