RCGP Management of Drug Misuse Re-Certification

The RCGP has recently launched the recertification course which further equips practitioners in assessing and managing the patient.

It is recommended as an evidence based update for graduates of our level 1 and 2 drug misuse courses. We would recommend individuals who graduated from our certificate courses 5 or more years previously to consider this update as excellent evidence of maintaining the required competencies in clinical substance misuse as it covers all of the hot topics facing clinicians today as well as being aligned with the new Orange guidelines (2017).

Topics covered include:

  • Changing drug trends
  • Novel psychoactive substances
  • Reducing drug-related deaths
  • Management of co-morbidities
  • Service organisation and delivery

The RCGP Management of Drug Misuse Re-Certification course is now managed by Spectrum Community Health CIC through its new training arm: Spectrum Learn & Develop Ltd (SLD). For a list of upcoming training days please see below:

  • 14 November 2018, London
  • 5 December 2018, Birmingham
  • 11 December 2018, Wakefield
