Despite GMC guidance for all GPs and senior practice nurses to be certified to Level 3 and all other practice members to Level 2, there is currently no recognised national standard for GP adult safeguarding training at any level.

This event will be a chance to learn more about the resources available to support you and to share best practice and experiences with other colleagues.

This event will be aimed at practice leads (not Named GPs) and topics we aim to cover are:

  1. Overview of the RCGP resources - Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Harm Toolkit / training video
  2. Presentations from NSPCC regional teams / advisors to present findings for health from serious case reviews
  3. Domestic Abuse in the elderly
  4. Session on information sharing / confidentiality guidance from the GMC

After lunch, there will be breakout sessions with the chance for practice leads to be able to discuss and share experiences and best practice.
