EASE - Mental Health in Primary Care for GPs and Patients - A Consultation Liasion Approach

An interactive session where the participants are invited to bring interesting/challenging cases they face in consultation. Dr Balu works in the NHS and the independent sector. He has a special interest in working with High Performing Individuals often consulting on their emotional wellness and advising them on prevention of complications of common mental health conditions.

This will also look at supporting colleagues within Primary care to look after themselves and some of their most complex and vulnerable patients, transference/countertransference in primary care consultations, in addition to the art of conscious consulting and how to care by sharing responsibilities with the patient. You may particularly benefit from the session if you regularly deal with frequent attendees and heart sink patients.

The Lim course for GP Minor Surgery with DOPS 11 and 12 May 2017
