Early Blood Cancer Diagnosis, 'Spot Leukaemia' Workshop

The Royal College of General Practitioners in partnership with Leukaemia Care are hosting this participative workshop to empower primary care health professionals to recognise the vagaries involved in a rare blood cancer diagnosis and be up to date of appropriate referral pathways. The event also focuses on communication during diagnosis, establishing an action plan and appropriate after care.

Lyme Disease, PoTS, Syncope and IBD - easily missed diagnoses

FREE EVENT – The RCGP is delighted to invite you to attend a one day workshop focusing on the diagnosis and management of Lyme disease and other 'easily missed' conditions. This workshop is part of the RCGP spotlight project for Lyme disease, which is funded by Lyme Disease Action and the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Educational Foundation. This workshop will explore the challenges faced by clinicians when investigating, treating and supporting patients with multi-systemic, often non-specific, symptoms resulting from Lyme disease, POTS, cardiovascular syncope or Inflammatory bowel disease.

Out of Hours course 14 November 2018

This OOH course aims to cover some of the competencies required by the RCGP for OOH training. The course will cover emergencies that may present during OOH. During the course different situations that may be high risk for complaints and how to deal with them will be discussed. There will be the opportunity to discuss real clinical cases and have a go at telephone triage within a safe environment.
