The meeting, which will be in an informal style which creates a lively discussion environment, is a practical training day; GPs and clinical experts will discuss how they use allergy testing in everyday practice, how allergy testing has changed how they manage their patients, what you need to do to request testing, and how to interpret results.

Video Consultation Skills Course

Video consultation and adoption of technology has been a hot topic both clinically and politically. Primary care is encouraged to adopt innovative consultation methods. In addition to the traditional day to day GP provision. There is still a reluctance amongst clinicians to adopt video consulting due to lack of experience. This is an area of practice that requires confidence and exposure. Our course incorporates simulation within workshops, where delegates can have hands on experience within a safe environment to witness and experience the pressure of dealing with video consulting and its associated challenges. Specialist experts will be used to facilitate and debrief the participants based on their actions, and to deliver educational content within the short lectures.

Faculty Workshop 14 July 2017

On Friday July 14th we are hosting an event in Leeds which is an annual opportunity for RCGP members to meet with representatives of central College including the President and Chief executive. Normally, this is a chance to showcase the work that is being done and we still plan to do that. However, the world is changing fast and we also want to use this meeting to have a frank and open discussion about:

• What's the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of what the RCGP does?
• What should we focus on in the faculties and do what is needed that isn't being done elsewhere?
• How can central and local College work better together?
