This half day course will give you a brief overview of neurological conditions seen in primary care and how to assess patients with neurological conditions.  The course will also cover seizures - epilepsy and non-epileptic attack disorders, movement disorders and includes hands-on examination of patients with neurological conditions.

Dr Debasish Kar has been a GP for over 15 years. Before coming to General Practice he worked in hospital medicine, finished core medical training and obtained MRCP (UK). He has been involved in multi-professional teaching for over 12 years. He also served at the RCGP task and finish group in developing national commissioning guideline on epilepsy. He has research interest in type 2 diabetes, obesity and lifestyle intervention and has published widely on this topic. Currently he serves as a primary care research and teaching fellow at Leicester Diabetes Centre, University of Leicester and as a clinical adviser of the RCGP. He was awarded FRCP by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2013 and FRCGP by the Royal College of General Practitioners' in 2014.
