An interactive and pictorial course led by local ‘GPwSI’s.  Working in plenary and small groups you will look at how to diagnose and manage common skin complaints in general practice, tips and advice, when to refer, recent guidelines and red flags.  

Small group workshops will include interactive ‘touch and feel’ sessions, lotions and potions, bandages and dressings and dermatology investigations.

Dr Simon Hargreaves

Simon Hargreaves has been a GP principal in St Helens since 1997 and a GP trainer for over 10 years.  His specialist clinical interest is dermatology and holds the Diploma in Practical Dermatology (Cardiff) and runs weekly GPwSI clinics in St Helens.   

Dr Simon Foster

Simon Foster is a GP Principal at Ainsdale Medical Centre.  He works at Ormskirk Hospital as a Hospital Practitioner in Dermatology and is an Honorary Lecturer at Liverpool University.  He, along with Simon Hargreaves runs The Cosmetic Skin Clinic at Fairfield Hospital.

Nurse Angela Steen
Angela Steen is Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales. She has over 25 years dermatology experience having trained in the Skin Hospital Birmingham and worked in several hospital Trusts throughout England. Her interests are research, education and wound management and she has completed MSc in wound healing and tissue repair at Cardiff University.
