This is a packed 3 day basic paediatric course full of interesting lectures where audience participation is encouraged.  The course aims to cover basic general paediatric issues which GPs are faced with every day in their surgeries.  There are plenty of opportunities to speak to the specialists.  Case studies are used throughout and you are welcome to bring along your own cases for discussion. This course is idea for anyone looking for a basic overview of many paediatric topics and those wishing to refresh their basic knowledge. 

The course is suitable for:

GP Trainees, First5 GPs, GPs.  This course is very useful as a basic refresher for experienced GPs.

Facilitator/Speakers

Dr Rajiv Mittal M.B.B.S., D.C.H., F.R.C.P.C.H.  A medical practitioner currently employed as a Consultant Community Paediatrician by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.  He has been practicing medicine since 1992 and specialising in Paediatrics since 2003.  Has a special interest in Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Safeguarding.  He works as designated doctor for safeguarding for Western Cheshire and also organises Level 3 Safeguarding Course for GPs.
