Whilst we endeavour to provide a 'gold standard' service to all course participants, if you are registering less than 72 hours before the start of the event, you should be aware that some materials may not be readily available on the day and we may contact you with regards to catering arrangements.

Are you a new GP parent? Do the challenges faced of having a successful career whilst raising a young family appear daunting to you? Do you want to empower yourself  to have the tools to successfully navigate this transitional period in your life?

If so come join us for our GP Parent event where a range of engaging and inspirational speakers will educate and inform on key topics such as appraisal and revalidation, finances and wellbeing.

This FREE member only Conference will tackle and explore subjects such as*:

  • Appraisals and revalidation whilst on parental leave or when returning to work   
  • Contracts and finance – advice for new parents
  • Success, empowerment and broadening your network as a new parent

This event is aimed at expecting and new parents and those who have recently returned to work. 

Demand pending, we will have crèche facilities onsite for a limited number of children from the ages of 0 to 4. If you are breast-feeding or your child is too young to leave in the crèche, we will also have a private feeding area, buggy park and welcome you to bring your children into the workshops.

Revalidation & Appraisal | Dr Chris Brown
Chris is a GP at Ormiston Medical Practice, GP with special interest in addictions at the DTTO (Drug Treatment and Testing Order) service, and GP appraiser and deputy local appraisal advisor for Lothian & Borders. He returned to the NHS in 2002 after a 12 year career in management consultancy and corporate finance, having originally completed GP training in 1989.

Your local parent support | Caroline Brown, NCT
Caroline Brown has been a Parent Services Administrator for NCT for 10 years and looks after all administration for Antenatal and Postnatal classes in Scotland.  
NCT is the UK's largest parenting charity and they support parents in their first 1000 days through various events run by local branches.
