Upholding the National Data Opt-out - Newcastle

This workshop will provide an overview of the National Data Opt-out giving you an understanding of what it is, how and when it applies and what it means for you and your patients, and how to uphold it. This will be illustrated through use of practical scenarios that will be familiar to those working in general practice. There will also be a presentation on the national data opt-out portal and the upholding solution from NHS Digital. The event aims to benefit the whole GP team, particularly practice managers, researchers and/or commissioners in primary care, Caldicott Guardians and/or anyone who is responsible for information governance within their practice. It will also be a useful introduction to the National Data Opt-out in the context of general practice.

Child Protection and Safeguarding Level 3

This is a child protection level III safeguarding day aimed at practicing GPs trainees and doctors. The courses being run by Swansea social services who will provide an update on current rules and regulations current guidance and current best practice in relation to managing suspected child abuse.
