International Activities

The Royal College of Radiologists has many overseas links with many of its Fellows working abroad.  There are several travelling Professorships to allow senior clinical radiologists or clinical oncologists to visit countries abroad to advise, give lectures, teach junior staff and demonstrate new techniques.  The College nominates Fellows to act as external examiners who visit countries conducting their own radiology exams.  A particularly close link is maintained with the Hong Kong College of Radiologists.  The College also advises trainees from overseas who wish to obtain training in radiology in the UK.

Examinations

The examinations for Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) are open to all who have undergone training in radiology irrespective of where this training has taken place.  The Part 1 of the FRCR is usually taken after nine months of training and the Part 2A after two and a half years and the Part 2B after three years of training.
