International Forum of the AoMRC ACTIVITIES

The International Forum of the AoMRC (formerly known as the Royal Colleges International Forum) formed in 1989, is a multi-professional collaboration of  the Medical and Nursing Royal Colleges. The Forum contributes collectively to support health systems especially in the area of international medical education and training.  The RCIF has the unique potential to improve health internationally through the sponsorship and scholarship programmes they run in many countries. The Royal Colleges also accredit locally developed training programmes for healthworkers around the world, developing curriculua and quality assurance standards.

The Forum members and affilated organisations hold meetings 3 times a year to share experience, make joint statements and write letters on issues of current common concern acting collabaratively as and when projects demand. Recent correspondence from the Forum includes an appeal to Lord Warner in the form of a joint letter from the Royal Colleges with suggestions relating to the amendment of the immigration status of IMGs.
