International Fellowship by Nomination
If you know a Member who should be recognised
by the RCGP for their professional contributions then
you should nomimate them for Fellowship
The Nominator
- Must be a Member or a Fellow
- May be a practice colleague of the candidate
- Should be in 5 years 'good standing' although some
flexibility can be shown
- Should complete up to 500 words summarising their nominee’s
achievements to date
- Should identify two seconders to support the application but
keep them unknown to the candidate
- Could be an RCGP International Development Advisor
- Should be of sufficient stature
The candidate
- Must be a Member MRCGP[INT]
- Should be in 5 years 'good standing'
- Should complete 1000 words outlining their key career
achievements to date
The Seconders
- Must be a Member or Fellow
- Should be in 5 years 'good standing' although some
flexibility can be shown
- Should complete up to 400 words supporting the nominator
- Should add value to the application
- Could be an RCGP International Development Advisor
- Should be of sufficient stature
Candidates should have the support of their International
Development Advisor (IDA) if the site has one plus two other
supporters of sufficient stature. 'Sufficient stature' will be
determined by the International Fellowship Committee. If the
chosen nominator or seconders are not fo five years good standing
then either RCGP Medical Director may act as an expert corroborator
for the application.
