Newly Qualified GPs

Developments

In an effort to support GPs after they receive their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) the College is continuing to develop benefits of membership targeted at this group.

Work is beginning to explore the opportunities a post-CCT curriculum will afford newly qualified GPs in terms of business and legal knowledge for use in practice. We continue to hold New Members' Ceremonies to welcome our new members to the College which grants members the chance to meet peers and College Officers and to feel part of an enthusiastic network of likeminded professionals.

Pilots

Courses entitled 'Business Skills for Newly Qualified GPs' are being piloted before being rolled out nationwide for deilvery on the regional framework. As these events are opened for booking they will show on the events diary. The one day course will be aimed at newly qualified GPs or those who are about to qualify.  The aim of the day is to learn how to skilfully and successfully manage and balance the business side of general practice.
