New Professionals

The RCGP New Professionals site has been created to provide a one-stop-shop for all your training requirements, provide careers information and act as a portal to College products and services you require as you go through your training.

The College has a lot to do with your training - from developing the new curriculum and setting the assessments to become a GP, to signing off your training and making a recommendation on your behalf to the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) if you require a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). In addition to this, the College is a membership organisation and provides a range of membership benefits from information and advice, to educational events, networking opportunities and representation; all of which can help support you through your training.

Those in Foundation Programmes can learn about what to expect from specialty training and prepare for the next stage.

Newly qualified GPs can network with others starting out in the profession, find out about events and read about experiences of others in their position.
