Database on Health in Secure Environments
We are delighted to launch
this database, to support doctors and other health workers to
deliver quality primary care in prisons and others secure
environments.
The aim of this database
is to bring together guidance previously available from a
variety of sources into a single searchable resource, which will be
of use to people delivering health care to patients in prisons and
other secure settings. The information deals with clinical topics
from the particular perspective of doctors and nurses who care for
people who are confined.
Searches may be conducted
using key words, title, originating body, subject, and date of
publication, and links are provided to electronic documents.
Sources consulted include the Department of Health, HM Prison
Service, and Birmingham University Prison Service websites. Journal
articles are also added on a monthly basis.
You can combine searches
to limit the result set, for example, organisation and year range.
Please make use of the Search Tips button for helpful searching
hints. The database is updated regularly.
Disclaimer: This database refers to
third-party information and links to third-party websites. Although
every attempt has been made to authenticate the content and
currency of such advice we can only be responsible for RCGP-badged
guidance.
