Guidance for Authors
Copyright
If authors wish to use previously published material by other
authors (e.g. tables, figures, or more than 100 words of text),
they are responsible for obtaining written permission from the
publishers of the work in which the material appeared. (A copy of
the permission should be forwarded to the Publishing Department.)
Publishers are normally pleased to give permission provided
assurance is received that full acknowledgement to source will be
printed.
In the same way, the Royal College of General Practitioners
takes copyright for most of its publications but is usually pleased
to give permission for material from these to be reproduced
subsequently provided full acknowledgement is given. Application
for permission to reproduce material should be made to the
Publishing Manager; authors who receive such requests should pass
them on to the Publishing Manager.
