Guidance for Authors

Consideration

Occasional Papers are assessed for academic acceptability by the Editor, College Publications, and other professionals (usually two) with special interests. Other books may be submitted as proposals with a sample chapter, but preferably as a full-length text. They are also subject to academic assessment by expert referees.

Referees are asked to declare any possible conflict of interest they may have, from a personal, academic, or financial point of view, which might affect their judgement when making the assessment. They may recommend publication, publication subject to revision by the author, or rejection. Their reports are made to the Editor, College Publications, whose decision is final. Although reports are confidential they may be sent to the author anonymously to help with redrafting.
