CARE Measure

The Consultation and Relational Empathy (CARE) measure is a validated, patient–assessed measure of the doctor’s communication and empathy in the consultation.

This online patient questionnaire gives GPs instant feedback on their patients' view of their consultations. Valid questionnaires must be completed by 50 patients and entered into the CARE measure. The data will then turn automatically into a report available to print or save on your own computer.

Opportunity to try out the e-Portfolio for nMRCGP

If you would like to look at the current version of the nMRCGP e-Portfolio, contact Michael Brookman for passwords.  The e-Portfolio will be the mechanism for collecting evidence to support the Work Place Based Assessment component of the new exam.

Please note that the e-Portfolio is being tested at the moment and the developers are adding to it as they receive suggestions for improvement. Please share your suggestions with Michael.

The workshops are designed to support GPs in dealing with clinical issues relating to work and health through new approaches to consultation management and signposting support.

The workshops are relatively short (˝ day), practical and interactive with opportunities for networking with colleagues. The aim is to help you and your team support patients with work related problems more effectively and efficiently.
