diagnosis and management of the pre–school child with chronic
wheeze or cough and the management of the acutely breathless
child.
- Become more confident in identifying
patients who might have interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis
and lung cancer presenting in primary care and know which patients
to refer for further investigation, as well as gaining an overview
of the management of patients diagnosed with these conditions in
secondary and primary care.
- Learn how to carry out quality
assured spirometry in the surgery and understand the basics of
interpreting spirometry traces and results.
- Become aware of the types of inhaler
device available and their practical use in the management of COPD
and asthma.
