Aimed as a refresher at GPs who are already experienced in providing skin minor surgery, this educational activity is considered to be of high quality and relevant for general practitioners CPD and Revalidation and DOPS assessment needs.
This very popular, internationally renowned course has been extended to a full day for 2015 and will cover:Difficult closure, Tarsal cysts, Facial lesions, Meibomian cysts, Larger lesions, Ring blocks, Keloid prone areas, Neck, Orifice surgery, Hands, Ear & Tourniquets.You should have attended our standard Minor Surgery within the last 3 years.
The main role of dermoscopy in Primary Care is to help identify benign lesions. The majority of seborrhoeic keratoses, angioma, dermato-fibroma and blue naevi can be readily identified with a dermatoscope. This can help reduce referrals and unnecessary skin surgery. As an introductory course it is suitable for those with little or no previous knowledge as well as those for whom the early stages require reinforcement and reassurance.

A two day intensive and practical course looking at minor surgery in primary care. You will look at local anaesthesia, suturing, skin lesions, joint injections and much more. Throughout the two days you will use latex skin pads during the many practical sessions.
Run by the North and West London Faculty this course includes nationally recognised course content carrying 10 RSM CPD points designed and contributed to by Primary Care experts with the support of Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists and Orthopaedic Surgeons. NHS England have assessed the course content and will accept certificates of course attendance as evidence of accreditation in minor surgery for level 2 minor surgery procedures as required by NHSE London.
