19th National Conference: Managing drug and alcohol problems in primary care
Early intervention: which way forward?
14-15 May 2014 | Holiday Inn Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon
This joint RCGP and SMMGP conference is the largest event in the UK for GPs, shared care workers, drug users, nurses and other primary care staff, specialists, commissioners and researchers interested in, and involved with the management of drug users in primary care.
In the new public health environment, we are being challenged to think about more than treatment and to look at prevention and early intervention. The 2014 conference will explore primary care's role in these important interventions alongside the usual mix of the management of misuse of alcohol and other drugs.

- learn from professionals at the heart of the profession
- engage in networking opportunities.
- a high-quality programme put together by leading experts in the field
- a diverse format of high-profile plenary sessions, smaller workshops and poster presentations, led by some of the best speakers in the sector
