Becoming a Member

In order to be a member of the College, general practitioners either have to pass the MRCGP Exam or will undertake Membership by Asessment of Performance (MAP).

Membership is about both the attainment of the MRCGP Examination and the payment of the appropriate subscription. Details of current subscription rates available from the Membership Office.

'Members in Good Standing' are members that fit into the above category on a continual basis.

The development of the College in Wales provides even greater opportunities for Welsh GPs to become active members of the College and to benefit from a College working closely with the Welsh Assembly Government in a devolved Wales.

Members who may have lapsed their subscription in the past are particularly welcome to re-join the College and further details on this are available from the Membership Manager, John McLaughlin Tel: 020 75813232.
