Membership

Our members help support our aims and contribute to the development of general practice as a discipline across Wales.

There are a range of benefits associated with being an RCGP member including getting more involved with general practice and helping to drive the quality of primary care in this area forward.

We have approximately 1749 members in Wales who work together on both a national and local level.

Locally, we have three faculties  which provide members with a range of activities as acting as a focal point where we can interact with them.

Wales-aide, our members help take forward our aims and objectives and support each other in their work with patients.

From our perspective, we actively look for ways to interact with our members across the country - usually on an issue or interest basis.

In order to become a member of the College, GPs either have to pass the MRCGP exam or will undertake Membership by Assessment of Performance (MAP).

Once you have become a member an annual subscription applies with details of current rates available from our Membership Office on 0207 581 3232.

Lapsed members are particularly welcome to re-join the RCGP with further information available from our Membership Manager Denisa Gregorio-Rey on 0207 581 3232.
