Rural Network for Wales

The Rural Network aims to engage with the rural health care community across Wales to help improve and promote primary care in the countryside.

The NHS in Wales is currently undergoing a major reorganisation and there are concerns that primary care in rural areas will be marginalised.

The network is a response to these concerns and coincides with go-ahead for the UK's RCGP Rural Forum.

The Welsh network will concentrate on the impact of care on individual patients and their communities linking rural GPs and their practices across Wales.

This will allowing them to share problems, solutions, good practice and eliminate isolation and create a community based on knowledge, understanding and trust.

The network is still in the process of being set up and we will publish details of its growth and development, including how to become involved, as they arise.
