There are over 2 million individuals with sight problems in the UK, and 100,000 of these individuals live in Wales. Due to the Disability Discrimination Act, service providers are legally obliged to make their services accessible to people with disabilities, including those people with a visual impairment. Our half day training session will help you understand the needs of blind and partially sighted people and improve the service you offer.

RNIB Cymru has joined forces with RNID, to bring a unique one-day training programme combining Deaf Awareness and Understanding Sight Loss training. The course will be piloted in Cardiff and Llandudno in November and December, where we will provide practical information and guidance helping organisations become more accessible for their service users with hearing and/or sight loss. The course is also available for in-house delivery.
