This website has been developed for patients and professionals interested in disability equality for primary care. It has been designed with the needs of disabled people in mind. We hope that you will find it useful and easy to use. If you cannot find the answer to your question here, please try some of the links to other sites, which may provide the information you require.

We know from the recent Disability Rights Commission's (DRC) formal investigation that disabled people often have a greater need for primary care than others; they are often our least well patients, and generally live shorter lives. Yet in the past, they were the ones who had the most difficulty accessing appropriate services. The vast majority of them are loyal and patient patients. It is now time to improve things for them.

What's New?

EquIP Cymru have designed a standard letter which you can send out to your patients to see whether they have any specific access needs when visiting the surgery. Please use the link below to download the letter.
