EPASS Quality Assurance Methods
RCGP Scotland has various methods of ensuring that all EPASS
accredited activities are of a consistently high quality and
relevant to the educational needs of GPs and other primary care
professionals.
In addition to the methods of quality assessment below, we
recently added the option for delegates to provide feedback
on any EPASS accredited activity at any time using our online
questionnaires.
EPASS providers must send details of every EPASS activity
(excluding e-modules) to the EPASS Team in advance of the activity
taking place. This allows the EPASS Team to review the content of
the activity to ensure that it is relevant to the educational needs
of GPs and primary care professionals. Providers are also required
to submit an annual report at the end of each year, which includes
feedback from participants of every EPASS accredited activity.
Quality Assurance Visit
RCGP Scotland has highly qualified Quality Assurance Assessors,
who regularly conduct assessments of EPASS accredited activities on
a random basis. The assessors provide constructive feedback,
including recommendations and support.
Quality Assurance Delegate Questionnaire
EPASS accredited activities are selected randomly,
where participants are asked to complete short quality
assurance questionnaire, which is issued by the EPASS Team. This
questionnaire gains delegates' feedback on the activity they
have participated in and highlights positive aspects of
the activity and identifies any areas requiring improvement.
The results are analysed by the EPASS Team and feedback and
recommendations are given to the provider.
**For Delegates ** - Online Delegate Questionnaires
RCGP Scotland have enhanced the above quality assurance methods
by launching online delegate Quality Assurance Questionnaires,
which allow delegates to provide anonymous feedback on any
EPASS accredited activity at any time. The
feedback from these questionnaires will be highly valued and will
help the EPASS Team to ensure that the education offered from EPASS
accredited activities remains consistently of a high quality and
relevant to educational needs. Therefore, please take a couple of
minutes to provide your feedback on an EPASS accredited activity
