EPASS -
Educational Providers Accreditation Scheme (Scotland)
'Quality Assuring the delivery of Primary
Care Education'
EPASS awards accreditation
to education providers who want to gain
recognition for their commitment to quality education.
As demand for Continuing Professional Development
(CPD) and quality
assured learning activities increases, particularly
now with GP appraisal and revalidation, the
scheme provides assurance to GPs and other Primary Care
Professionals that activities they undertake are relevant to their
learning needs.
RCGP Scotland continues to work with
NHS Education for Scotland to ensure that GP appraisers are
aware of EPASS and the
significance of an EPASS accredited activity within a Doctor's
appraisal folder.
NEW UPDATED -
EPASS Quality Assurance Feedback Questionnaire
RCGP Scotland have
enhanced the Quality Assurance procedures by launching online
quality assurance questionnaires for GPs and other Primary Care
Professionals to provide anonymous feedback on an EPASS
accredited activity they have participated in. The
feedback on these questionnaires will be highly valued
and will help us to ensure that the quality of education
received from EPASS accredited activities is of a high
standard.
