form of education will be particularly useful for rural members the
convenience and ease of access to it will make it attractive to the
membership as a whole.
Appraisal and Revalidation - RCGP Scotland has
contributed to the development of the Appraisal and Revalidation
process in Scotland and has been successful in integrating its
existing quality markers (such as QPA, PA, MAP and FBA) into these
processes.
Tools and Learning Plans (PDPs) – PDPs will
become an essential part of Continuing Professional Development as
they are integral to the annual appraisal programme in Scotland.
RCGP Scotland is currently working to develop methods for assessing
and developing PDPs. PEP is currently available as one such
tool.
Developments across the UK - RCGP UK has a vast
amount of expertise and has a range of initiatives for continuing
professional development currently in development.
