The National Association of
Patient Participation
is a national government-funded organisation that invites
affilates via membership. PPG membership is just £25 per
annum, providing a support network and a constant stream of
information. Joining N.A.P.P can really help
you realise the full potential of your
PPG. Beside the benefits of becoming a NAPP member, they
also produce a variety of publications to
help you formulate and conduct a patient group such as the
invaluable pamphlet entitled "Setting Up A Patient
Participation Group in a GP Surgery".
PPG
Our RCGP UK equivalent to the P3 group is called the
Patient Participation Group. They are a very pro-active group based
in London. RCGP UK also conduct the Patient Participation
Award. Based on nominations, a cash prize is
awarded annually to GP practices for outstanding levels of patient
involvement.

An extremely useful website dedicated to all things patient
related.

These will provide you with an overview of the basic

These may be required to solve any governance concerns that go
beyond the powers of the Practice. If your issue really can't be
resolved within the parameters of the practice, then you may need
to Make a Complaint to the
NHS as a last resort.

publication, designed to enable its users to easily identify
and communicate with over 400 of the UK’s major patient
