Increasingly, the College is invited to respond to initiatives
or policy developments in relation to primary care, general
practice and Scottish political change in a health context. These
responses are collated from a range of comments, which are actively
sought from our members.
Developing Policy
RCGP Scotland relies on the input and advice it receives from
members to shape and decide College policy. That policy is then
shared with a wide range of audiences including the Scottish
Parliament, the Scottish Government, the media and, of course, our
members and faculties.
You can find copies of RCGP Scotland responses and position
papers via the publications section, or by clicking the link
below.
For members interested in developing College policy, we have a
network of GPs who already contribute to College responses and
requests for representation. If you would like to be more involved,
why not join? Register your interest by e-mailing
palexander@rcgp-scotland.org.uk
in the first instance.
Please see our current consultations and
responses.
