Initiatives
Mentoring Pilot Scheme
The faculty has set up a pilot mentoring scheme in general
practice in the Forth Valley Health Board area. The scheme
will be open to any doctor working in general practice including
non members of the College.
Mentoring is designed to offer peer support for GPs at any
stage of their career. If successful the scheme will be
rolled out accross the faculty area.
Information about the scheme has been sent to all GPs in the
Forth Valley HB area.
Education events
The faculty organises educational events including our annual
prestigious
Fulton Lecture and annual
Joint Meeting with Students. Full details of all
our events are listed in under
Events.
Membership Support
The faculty is keen to provide support for members
particularly in the Appraisal and Revalidation processes.
When the revalidation process becomes clearer a rolling
programme of workshops will be arranged to assist members in
the areas of Audit and Significant Event Analysis and Video
Consultation.
