About Us
The North of Scotland Faculty’s aim is to -
- Provide, at the most economical cost, all Overhead &
Baseline activities and deliver to the required quality
standard
- Engage with the Membership of the Faculty
- Promote the College and provide support to potential
members
- Deliver more educational events to North of Scotland Faculty
Members
- Influence policy in conjunction with other organisations
- Facilitate networking of members

The Faculty is constantly striving to implement the RCGP
strategy which promotes:
- Promotion of the Profession - promote and
protect the generalist role within the UK and worldwide
- Professional Standards – to maintain current
quality standards and develop methods and frameworks to ensure that
the future standards of the College lead the profession and
practice
- Professional Development – to maintain the
academic rigour of General Practice
- Resources - ensure that the College is
maintained in a strong financial position
- Individual Support - ensure a clear and
tangible benefit to members
- Internal Structures and Corporate Governance -
achieve effective decision making while ensuring that the
membership is appropriately represented
North of Scotland Faculty Board
The work of the Faculty is led by our Faculty Board, which is
comprised of local members. The Faculty Board meets four
times a year and is represented on the College’s main
Council. Further details about our Faculty Board Members, and

Our key activities include running educational events,
providing opportunities for networking and organising other
