Getting to Edinburgh
Air: From
Edinburgh Airport, you can proceed by bus to the centre of
Edinburgh. The bus terminates at Waverley Bridge, outside Edinburgh
Waverley train station.
Rail:
Edinburgh Waverley is the main station in Edinburgh (and closest to
the College), providing an extensive network of rail connections to
major cities in Scotland and the rest of the UK.
Getting to the College
Taxi: Black
cabs can be hailed in most areas of the city. (Approximately 5
minutes to College from Edinburgh Waverley).
On foot:
From Edinburgh Waverley train station, proceed west (past Scott
Monument) along Princes Street until you come to Hanover Street on
the right hand side (opposite the National Gallery for Scotland).
Turn right and walk up Hanover Street, crossing over George Street,
and down to the traffic lights at the junction with Queen Street.
Turn left along Queen Street and the College is situated on the
left hand side. (Approximately 10-15 minutes walk.)
By car: From the
Forth Road Bridge (North) continue into City Centre (A90)
along the main Queensferry Road, travelling past the ‘Quality
Street ‘ junction, Blackhall junction and on towards the Dean
Bridge and Queensferry Street. After crossing the Dean Bridge, turn
left into Randolph Crescent and follow the main flow of traffic
onto Queen Street. Proceed along Queen Street and turn right at the
3rd set of traffic lights into Hanover Street.
The College’s car park is situated at the rear of the building
and can be accessed by turning first right onto Thistle Street
(Henderson’s on corner). Take the next right into Thistle Street
North West Lane. The Car Park is marked with two large black gates
and RCGP spaces (to be booked in advance) are situated on your left
hand side as you enter. (Approximately 30 minutes from Forth Road
Bridge – out with normal rush hour traffic.)
From Edinburgh
Airport (West) follow the signs for City Centre
(A8) along Corstorphine Road. Keep going until you reach Princes
Street, turning left with all traffic at South Charlotte Street
towards Charlotte Square. Go straight on at the next junction (past
George Street on right). This will take you to the junction with
Great Stuart Street and Queen Street with a right turn only onto
Queen Street. Follow directions as above.
