Initiatives
Education
Events
The faculty currently holds a major educational event on the
first Friday in December each year. The event consists
of a lecture with the broad aim to have speakers from
outside Ireland and to dilute the insular view.

Social Events
In addition to our education programme, the faculty also has
social events to encourage members to get together. Convivial
social events are held after the AGM in May and the
educational meeting in December.

Research Award. Please check the RCGP awards page to see if
any category attracts your submission.
The members were surveyed in 2005 regarding their views on
what should be the main focus of faculty activities. They were also
enquired as to the desired content of the newsletter. The results
of the survey are available
