About Us
The Faculty Board is multi-disciplinary and included in its
‘make up’ are representatives of GPs in Training,
lay representaton as well as
a Services Representative.
The faculty has good relationships with other educationalists;
for example Dr Richard Weaver, Head of School and
Professor Tony Kendrick, Professor in Primary Care at
Southampton University, are co-opted members of the
Faculty Board.
The Faculty provides education, support and encouragement for
members and non-members to allow them to develop and enjoy their
own practice of medicine. To underpin this philosophy, the
Faculty has recently developed a further Five Year Plan which has
the following broad themes:
- Support for Members, GPs and Non-Principals.
- Support the Development of the Faculty.
- Support for Primary Care Development.
- Develop relationships with Princes Gate.
- Heighten the profile of the Faculty and the College.
The faculty board arranges various educational/social events,
which include key activities, providing opportunities for
networking and organising awards and prizes locally. Further
