Faculty Appoints New Fellowship Leads
Dr Dennis Cox from St Ives and Dr Judith
Lindeck of Cambridge have been appointed as Deputy Fellowship Leads
for the East Anglia Faculty to support the Provost Bob Berrington.
Both played an important part in last year’s Faculty Workshop on
Fellowship and have already been helping would-be applicants
through the pathways of self nomination.
There are currently four GP’s from East Anglia
at various stages of application, but the Faculty Leads are keen to
urge many more to apply under the new system.
If you are an experienced GP with more than
five years RCGP membership under your belt and believe you have
made a significant contribution to GP in practice, to local health
and community services, to teaching, training or R&D, why
not apply?
Check the RCGP Website for more
information, including how to register.
The Faculty ran a workshop at the Cambridge Autumn Seminar for
Trainers in Cambridge last autumn.
The Faculty ran a Conference last spring on the Unified Route to
Fellowship at Newmarket.
Enrolment Fees for Unified Route to Fellowship
The Fellowship enrolment fee is set at the same rate as previous
Fellowship arrangements (£750) and is subject to the same annual
review by Council. This fee is made in two instalments; the
first payable at the time of registration; the second at the time
of recommendation (or at the time of the two year submission window
expires). This fee covers the entire process, including
resubmissions if necessary, for a period of two years from the date
of application. The enrolement fee is only refundable, in
full or in part, at the discretion of the Honorary Treasurer and
the Chair of the Fellowship Committee.
Further information is available from the College. Email
fellowship@rcgp.org.uk or use
the links above.
