The Royal College of General Practitioners has a fair

Posts are advertised internally first before being advertised
externally.
Recruitment pack
You will be sent a recruitment pack on
request. Any applications arriving after the closing date
will not be considered.
Your recruitment pack will be sent within
48 hours after receiving your request.
Selection
The selection panel is balanced by gender,
race and experience and normally consist of a minimum of 2
members.
The selection panel will short list the
successful candidates from the applications received within 2 days.
Interview dates are sent out within 48 hours in some cases
candidates may be telephoned and invited in for an interview.
You will be given up to 5 to 7 days notice to come in for an
interview.

regarding your interview please notify HR.
Interview
The purpose of an interview is to assess
candidates’ suitability for a post using the key result areas. You
will be asked core questions and questions regarding your ability,
knowledge and skills to do the role.
Tests
As part of your interview you may be
required to do a test. Tests can range from typing test, in-tray
exercise and presentation.
Offer of appointment
The successful candidate will be offered
the post by phone in the first instance. You will then receive your
offer of appointment letter with your contract within 2 working
weeks.
We notify successful and unsuccessful
candidates by post.
Start date
Your start date may be agreed at the time
you are offered the post.
Your local induction will be with your
line manager. You will be contacted by Human Resources within two
days of you starting.
You will be invited to the Corporate
Induction shortly after joining.
