Principal Responsibilities
The RCGP’s two Vice-Chairs support the
Chairman by taking on particular areas of responsibility and
undertaking specific projects. The Vice-Chairs lead the College on
patient liaison, membership and faculty issues, and are members of
Council Executive Committee, the Joint Officer / SMT Group, the
corporate officer team and the Awards Committee.
Particular responsibilities include leading
the College on patient liaison (including the Patient Partnership
Group), membership and faculty issues.
Biographical Details
Dr Hasmukh Joshi is an elected Council
member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and a
Vice Chairman of Council since November 2007. He is also a medical
member and a past Chair of the Assessment Committee of the
Post-graduate Medical Education Training Board (PMETB).
Dr Joshi is a part-time GP in a South
Wales Valley town. He was a GP trainer in his practice and a course
organiser until 2002. He is also a member of the panel of
examiners for the Member of the Royal College of General Practice
examination (MRGCP) and a lead assessor on the General Medical
Council’s Fitness to Practise Panel.
