Principal Responsibilities
The Honorary Treasurer leads and advises the
Board on all matters of finance and represents the best interests
of members in the financial decision-making process. The incumbent
monitors income and expenditure on behalf of the Trustee Board,
draws up draft budgets and is responsible for the preparation of
annual accounts. The Honorary Treasurer also oversees staff
remuneration and the College’s overall responsibilities as an
employer.

Information
Biographical Details
Colin practices in Skene Medical Group, five miles
outside Aberdeen, where he has been a principal since
1986. Colin is a former Chairman of Scottish Council and has
been a member of the College Finance Committee for fourteen years.
He was appointed by NICE in 2009 to chair the Independent QOF
Review Committee. He has a strong interest in education and
training.
He enjoys food, wine, hill walking, singing and time with his
wife, though not necessarily in that order!!
