Initiatives
Education Events
The faculty currently holds a major educational event on the
first Friday in December each year. The event consists
of a lecture with the broad aim to have speakers from
outside Ireland and to dilute the insular view. See Events.
Social Events
In addition to our education programme, the faculty also has
social events to encourage members to get together. Convivial
social events are held after the AGM in May and the
educational meeting in December. See Events.
Courses and Workshops
Local courses and workshops are organised throughout the year.

Support Services
We offer continued support to our members through:
- our mentoring scheme and
- orientation packs for GPs returning from abroad.
- Gay Doctors Ireland is an educational, supportive organisation
centred on issues affecting LGBT persons in the medical community
in Ireland.
